Oh my gourd, it’s an entirely spooky scary silly sketch show with your favourite chicks!

In this spooktactular sketch revue, The Chicks explore the very very very serious theme of the Halloween Spirit. From ghosts and witches to corporate greed and social anxiety, and even spooky songs – this Halloween sketch comedy show will have you laughin’ ‘ til you’re coffin’!

What To Expect

Big Chick Energy is a wild and zany all woman sketch comedy troupe from Toronto and Hamilton, and we deliver on the ENERGY at every show! Our Halloween show is a collection of spooky sketches, some new, some old, BUT ALL TERRIFYING! Okay maybe not terrifying, but they’re 100% gonna get you in the mood for Halloween!

What the heck is sketch comedy?

Think SNL, SCTV, The Second City, Key and Peele, Mad TV, I Think You Should Leave – you get the idea!

AND we highly encourage costumes, if you’ve got it, haunt it!

We’ll be wearing lots of different costumes, so we’d love to see you dress up in the Halloween Spirit with us!

About Big Chick Energy

Big Chick Energy (BCE) is an all-woman troupe based in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area that creates positive, gut-busting comedy that explores and challenges social structures through a feminist, satirical and absurdist lens. Winner of the 2022 Toronto Sketchfest Producer’s Pick award, these chicks are trained in theatre, production, improv and sketch comedy, they want to contribute to a world where woman-identifying comedians see themselves in the media they engage with. BCE performed their first live show in February of 2020, and nothing bad happened after that! Just kidding. During 2020, confined to their respective homes and unable to perform in person, The Chicks took the time to explore what made them laugh during difficult times. The troupe bonded over their favourite sketches from Baroness Von Sketch to The Lonely Island and found ways to develop and film sketches virtually. Since their inception, BCE has created a YouTube channel, premiered a music video for an original song, and has hosted several sketch comedy shows in Toronto. The Chicks have been cast in rom-com movies, released comedy music albums, and performed on stages throughout Toronto and Hamilton. Individually they are Alicia Carrick, Julia Jones, Emily Milling, Sam Sexton and Jo Anne Tacorda.
